This Privacy Policy describes how the Landscaping Calculator mobile application (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App on iOS or Android. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Landscaping Calculator is a mobile estimating tool for landscaping professionals. Almost all data you enter is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that collect, transmit, or store your business profile, quotes, calculator inputs, or customer information.

The main exception is in-app purchase (IAP) processing on iOS: when you buy or restore the Pro upgrade, limited purchase-related information is handled by Apple and by our purchase-management provider, Adapty, as described below. We do not embed advertising SDKs or unrelated third-party analytics SDKs.

All of the following information is entered by you and stored only on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage (e.g., `UserDefaults` and the local file system):

- Business Profile Data (Pro on iOS): business name, owner name, address, phone, email, website, license number, tax ID, default terms, accent color, and an optional logo image.

- Customer / Project Data (Quotes): customer name, email, phone, address, project name, notes, terms, line items, labor cost, markup, tax, and discount values.

- Calculator Inputs: measurements, areas, material selections, and other values you enter to compute estimates.

- App Preferences: US or Metric output system, per-field unit choices (for example, feet vs. meters), default cost values, and similar settings.

We do not collect:

- Account credentials (the App has no sign-in)

- Location data

- Contacts, calendars, microphone, or camera data (unless you manually choose a logo image from your photo library, which is then stored only on your device)

- Advertising identifiers

- Health, financial account, or biometric data

- Your quotes, business profile, or calculator entries on our servers

Information stored on your device is used solely to:

- Perform calculations and generate the estimates and quotes you request.

- Render PDF documents on your device for your own use, sharing, or printing.

- Remember your unit preferences (US Customary or Metric) and related settings between app launches.

- Persist saved quotes and business profile details between sessions.

Feature availability may differ by platform and version:

- Free (iOS): Gravel and Soil calculators.

- Pro (iOS): All calculators, My Quotes, Business Profile, Save as Quote, and related Pro-only workflows.

- Android: At this time, the Android version does not offer a separate in-app Pro purchase; feature availability on Android may differ from iOS.

Unlocking Pro on iOS does not require creating an account in the App. Your Pro status is determined from purchase records verified through Apple and Adapty.

On iOS, the App offers a one-time, non-consumable Pro unlock (lifetime access to Pro features, not a recurring subscription). When you purchase or restore Pro, the following third-party services are involved:

Apple App Store / StoreKit

Adapty and AdaptyUI

We use Adapty and AdaptyUI to manage in-app purchases, deliver the paywall experience, verify your access level, and support purchase restoration. When you interact with the paywall, buy Pro, or restore purchases, Adapty may process information such as:

- App Store transaction identifiers and purchase receipts

- Product identifiers and purchase status

- Anonymous or pseudonymous device/app identifiers used for purchase validation

- Basic technical data needed to operate the purchase SDK (for example, app version and platform)

We use purchase status only to unlock Pro features in the App.

After your first successful calculation, the App may ask Apple’s system review prompt to appear. This uses Apple’s native StoreKit review API. We do not receive personal information from that prompt, and any review you submit goes directly to Apple.

We do not sell, rent, or share your locally stored App content (quotes, profiles, calculator inputs, or customer data).

Limited purchase-related data is shared only as needed to complete and verify in-app purchases on iOS, as described in Section 5.

If you choose to:

​

- Share or export a PDF/quote (via the system share sheet, email, messaging apps, cloud storage, etc.), or

- Print a document,

​

you control the recipient and the channel. Any third party you send data to (for example, your email provider, a printer service, or your customer) is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Aside from Apple StoreKit and Adapty on iOS for Pro purchases, the App does not transmit your content to third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud-sync providers.

Your mobile operating system (iOS or Android) may collect diagnostics or usage information according to your device settings and the platform provider’s policies. That collection is controlled by Apple or Google, not by us.

We use Adapty to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. When you make a purchase, Adapty processes the transaction through Apple's App Store infrastructure. Adapty may receive:

- An anonymous user profile identifier

- Subscription status and transaction receipts

- App Store product identifiers

Your App content remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove data at any time by:

​

- Deleting individual quotes or clearing fields inside the App, or

- Uninstalling the App, which removes locally stored App data.

If you back up your device (for example, to iCloud, Google account backup, or a computer), your App data may be included in that backup according to your backup settings. Those backups are controlled by you and your platform provider, not by us.

Purchase records are retained by Apple and Adapty according to their respective policies so that Pro access can be restored when you use Restore Purchases.

The App is intended for business use by adults (18+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly process information from children.

Because most data is stored locally, the security of your information depends primarily on the security of your device. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock and keeping your operating system up to date.

The App can be used in countries where it is distributed. Your business and project data is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Purchase verification on iOS may involve processing by Apple and Adapty in accordance with their policies and applicable law.

Because we do not host your quotes, business profile, or calculator data on our servers, requests to access, correct, or delete that information are fulfilled by you directly within the App or by uninstalling it.

If applicable law (for example, GDPR or CCPA/CPRA) grants you additional rights regarding purchase-related data processed by Apple or Adapty, you may also contact those providers or us using the contact information below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes may be communicated through an in-app notice or a revised version distributed with an App update.
