Privacy Policy

App: SnapPDF: Photos To PDF (“the App”)

Developer: Mosaic Minds Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”)

Bundle ID: com.mosaicmindsstudio.photostopdf

This Privacy Policy describes how SnapPDF: Photos To PDF handles information when you use the App on your iPhone or iPad.

1. Summary

PhotoToPDF is designed to work primarily on your device. Photos, scans, signatures, and PDFs you create are stored locally unless you choose to share or export them using iOS features (for example, the Share sheet, Files, or AirDrop).

We do not require user accounts, do not run in-app advertising, and do not sell your personal information. We do use Adapty, a third-party service, to manage optional SnapPDF Pro in-app purchases and entitlements. Payment is still processed by Apple through the App Store.

2. Information the App Can Access

Photos and camera

With your permission, the App may access:

- Photo Library — to let you select images to include in a PDF.

- Camera — to scan documents and add pages to a PDF.

You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security on your device. If permission is denied, related features will not work until you allow access again.

3. Information you provide in the App

The App stores content you create or import locally, including:

- Selected photos and generated PDF files

- PDF project settings (layout, paper size, margins, orientation, cover/header/footer text, file name)

- Drawn signatures and signature placement preferences

- A default signature image saved for reuse (stored in the App’s Application Support directory)

- Export quality preference (Large, Medium, or Small)

This data is used only to provide App functionality (creating, previewing, saving, and sharing PDFs).

4. Information stored locally for App features

The App may store small preference flags on your device (for example, whether you were prompted to rate the App after your first PDF, whether legacy users are grandfathered into Pro, and PDF generation counts). This information stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

5. How Information Is Stored and Processed

On-device processing: Photos are converted to PDFs on your device. We do not upload your photos or PDFs to our servers because the App does not include server-side processing for these features.

Local storage: Projects, images, signatures, and exported PDFs are saved in the App’s sandbox on your device (Application Support and related directories).

Temporary files: When you share a PDF, the App may copy the file to a temporary location with your chosen file name so iOS can present the system share sheet. Temporary files are subject to iOS cleanup policies.

  1. Third-Party Services

Apple App Store and StoreKit

When you purchase SnapPDF Pro, restore purchases, or interact with App Store pricing, Apple processes the transaction and may collect information according to Apple’s Privacy Policy. We receive purchase status through Apple and our purchase partner (Adapty), not your full payment credentials.

The App may also use Apple’s in-app review API when you choose to rate the App or after certain milestones (such as creating your first PDF). That interaction is handled by iOS and Apple.

Adapty (in-app purchases and paywalls)

We use Adapty to:

- Display upgrade paywalls and localized prices

- Process purchase and restore flows in connection with the App Store

- Verify whether SnapPDF Pro is active for your device/profile

Depending on how you use purchase features, Adapty may receive information such as:

- An app-specific profile or device identifier used to sync entitlements

- Product and paywall interaction events (for example, viewing an upgrade screen)

- Purchase, restore, and entitlement status tied to your App Store account’s transactions

We do not use Adapty for advertising. Adapty’s handling of data is described in Adapty’s Privacy Policy. We configure the SDK to support purchases and access control, not to collect your photos or PDF content.

7. Information We Do Not Collect

Based on the current version of the App, we do not:

- Require you to create an account

- Collect your name, email, or contact details through the App

- Run in-app advertising

- Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the App

- Upload your photos, scans, signatures, or PDFs to our servers for processing

- Intentionally collect precise location data

- Access your contacts, microphone, or Bluetooth

We use Adapty to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. When you make a purchase, Adapty processes the transaction through Apple's App Store infrastructure. Adapty may receive:

- An anonymous user profile identifier

- Subscription status and transaction receipts

- App Store product identifiers

Adapty does not receive your name, journal content, or any other personal data from the App. For details, see Adapty's Privacy Policy https://adapty.io/privacy).

  1. Free and Pro Features (Privacy-Relevant)

The App works without Pro. If you do not purchase Pro, you can still create PDFs from your library and camera with core layout and export options. Pro unlocks scanning, signatures, multi-photo layouts, and large export quality. Entitlement status may be checked through Adapty and stored locally so the App can remember your access between launches.

9. Sharing and Export

When you tap Share or use other iOS export options, you choose where the PDF goes (Messages, Mail, Files, third-party apps, etc.). Those services have their own privacy policies. We do not control how recipients or third-party apps handle files you export.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

In the App: You can remove photos from a project, delete recent PDF projects from the home screen, and remove signatures from PDF settings. Uninstalling the App removes App data stored in its sandbox on your device, subject to iOS behavior and any backups you maintain.

Purchases: Purchase records are retained by Apple and may be available to Adapty for entitlement verification according to their policies. Deleting the App does not cancel a completed App Store purchase.

Device backups: If you use iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups, Apple may include App data in those backups according to your device settings.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will address the request as appropriate.

12. Security

We rely on Apple’s iOS platform security and the App’s sandbox to help protect data on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; you are responsible for securing your device (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.).

13. International Users

The App is offered from the United States. If you use it from other regions, your PDF content is processed on your device under your control. Purchase-related data may be processed by Apple and Adapty in accordance with their policies. Laws in your location may differ from those in the United States.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the App or on our website when available.

15. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information (access, correction, deletion, objection, etc.). Because most App content is stored locally on your device, you can exercise many controls directly in the App or by deleting App data or uninstalling the App. For purchase-related requests, you may also need to contact Apple (for billing/refunds) or review Adapty’s policies. You may contact us with other questions or requests.

11. Contact
